Diageo’s Learning for Life program achieves 48% job placement rate

We celebrate the graduation of 23 young people who have been part of this new edition of “Learning for Life”, a hospitality training program promoted by Diageo with the collaboration of Fundación Tomillo.

Bartender training, specialized course in cocktails, for people with previous experience or training in the bartending room. A specialty that is becoming a global trend and revitalizing the beverage industry.

This is the sixth edition of the program and it is the first one that has had an eminently online format (80% of the training has been carried out online). The program has trained 23 young people, between 18 and 30 years of age, to improve their job opportunities in the hospitality sector, one of the hardest hit by the Covid crisis, offering them knowledge for the development of customer service skills in restaurants and bars.

In addition to the technical training, the course has been complemented with extensive training in key skills for job performance such as communication, teamwork, vocational identification, teamwork, etc., through sessions linked to the sector, which has already made it possible to 48% of the students who have completed their training have already found a job.
