40 years accompanying young people to enhance their growth and employability

Future Logistics and Warehousing Specialists visit Air Liquide multinational company

At the Tomillo Foundation we know that bringing young people closer to the reality of the company is key to their training process. To this end, we create alliances with socially responsible companies that believe in educational equity and in the importance of offering opportunities to vulnerable young people.

For this reason, and thanks to the collaboration of Air Liquide Foundation and Air Liquide España, we have launched a training program to promote access to employment for young people in Madrid, the Logistics and Warehouse Specialist Course. With this collaboration, twenty 20 young people are trained in warehouse management and warehouse machinery operation.

As part of the program, last Monday, the students visited Air Liquide’s facilities in Villaverde and enjoyed a productive practical day for their training. They toured the facilities, talked to professionals and received a masterclass.

With this partnership agreement Air Liquide is developing a project to train 20 young people in warehouse management and machinery handling The warehouse is coordinated by the Tomillo Foundation, which is responsible for the recruitment and selection of students, their training and accompaniment throughout the course, as well as the management of the internships they will subsequently undertake.

In addition, the program includes the course “Technique, Safety and Occupational Risk Prevention in the Work with Forklift Trucks”, which includes training in skills, technical concepts and technical training in practice. It has a duration of 285 hours and focuses on logistics management: supply chain and procurement; warehouse services: security, storage facilities, stock management, cargo packaging and dispatch management; and maintenance machinery: forklift license, handling, overhead crane and lifting platform.
