More than 200 young people will benefit from the Campus Tomillo Hospitality project.
The Tomillo Foundation has been recognized with one of the grants that it awards each year Hilton Global Foundation (HGF), the international philanthropic arm of Hilton Hotels, as part of its “travel with purpose” strategy to social organizations working for a better world.
Thanks to funding from HGF, Fundación Tomillo will promote the Campus Tomillo Hostelería project with the aim of developing in young people from vulnerable backgrounds in the southern neighborhoods of Madrid, the skills that will enable them to develop their life project and professional profile in the hospitality sector.

Through comprehensive training itineraries and employment orientation, we will respond to the current needs and challenges of the hospitality sector, reinforcing the technical and socioemotional skills of young people, thus improving their motivation and employability and becoming agents of change in their environment. Within the Campus Tomillo Hospitality project, they will be able to participate in different learning experiences, both formal and informal, based on connection activities with the current working world and specialized training in the hospitality sector, such as Kitchen Assistant, Room/Bar Assistant and Specialized Cooking, topics that will be adapted according to the demand of the hospitality sector.

At the same time, meetings will be held between students and professionals in the hospitality industry, different restaurants will be visited to learn in person how they work, as well as the different profiles within the sector and simulations of job interviews or selection processes will be carried out with the support of corporate volunteers, all with the aim of connecting students with the working world within the hospitality sector.
HGF grants are awarded as part of its “Travel with Purpose” strategy to social organizations working for a better world to promote responsible travel and tourism, as well as to entities aligned with the Foundation’s priorities in environmental sustainability, professional development and community resilience.
