Silver Medal of the Order of May 2 of the Community of Madrid 2009

Fundación Tomillo received the Silver Medal of the Order of May 2 of the Community of Madrid, a distinction granted by the Regional Government, at the reception held at Puerta del Sol on the occasion of its regional holiday, recognizing its background in combating school failure and the training for employment.

The candidates proposed for the Order of May 2 come from the business, social and cultural world, such as Max Mazin, considered the promoter of the economic liberalism in Spain and founder of employers’ organization “CEOE”. Ion de la Riva, the Spanish ambassador to India and founder of “Casa Asia”, the dean of the Madrid Stock Exchange and promoter of its modernization, Pedro Rodríguez-Ponga and Ruiz de Salazar, and the designer Elio Berhanyer. All of them received the prize.
