40 years accompanying young people to enhance their growth and employability

Space for meeting and reflection at the Solidarity Weaving Conference

On the occasion of December 5, International Volunteer Day, from Volunteer Participation of Tomillo Foundation we celebrate the day “Solidarity Weaving” to promote a space for meeting and reflection among the volunteers most involved in the socio-educational intervention of young people in the Foundation.

The event, held at the Tomillo Foundation’s Hospitality Center, was inaugurated by Marisol García, deputy general manager, who after some inspiring words of welcome, presented the video: Volunteering: Everything you always wanted to know!

This was followed by a series of round table discussions on issues such as the volunteerism of the future and the lessons learned from Covid, the attitudes that facilitate volunteer action and how to achieve transformational volunteerism.

We are grateful for the participation of volunteers, professionals and young leaders for social change of the Programa Oportunidad al Talento. With all of them we were able to share interesting experiences and lessons learned in the final conclusions of the day.

The event was made possible thanks to the support of the Madrid City Council’s Department of Families, Equality and Social Welfare for the “Tejido Solidario” project.
