40 years accompanying young people to enhance their growth and employability

Tomillo Foundation joins Alianza País Pobreza Infantil Cero (Zero Child Poverty Country Alliance)

Last June 2, the Tomillo Foundation joined the Country Alliance for Zero Child Poverty created by the High Commissioner for the Fight against Child Poverty.

The High Commissioner against Child Poverty
was created at the initiative of the President of the Government to promote policies and social alliances that make the eradication of child poverty a State objective. The mission is to provide the same opportunities for the future to all children and adolescents regardless of the conditions of their birth.

Country Alliance for Zero Child Poverty aims to encourage participation and the creation of alliances among all social actors to work towards a common vision: a Spain in which all children and adolescents have the same opportunities for the future regardless of the conditions of their birth.

In order to address the multiple dimensions of child poverty – educational, nutritional, care, housing or the digital divide – it is essential that all stakeholders work together through effective strategies that take into account the needs of vulnerable children.

Objectives of the Alliance:

  • Align efforts and facilitate the coordination of all stakeholders to meet these challenges and measure results.
  • Promoting innovation in the fight against child poverty.
  • Mobilize new resources to consolidate the commitment of Alliance members.
  • To give visibility to the problem of child poverty in our country and to analyze its causes, consequences and solutions.
