We celebrate the 15th Tomillo Foundation Ham Cutting Competition

Alex Dann, a student of the Tomillo Foundation, winner of the 1st. Ham Cutting Contest Award. After three years without being able to organize the traditional contest, last Friday, April 29th, we celebrated the XV edition among Madrid’s Hotel and Catering Schools.

The competition, organized since 2006, seeks to improve students’ professional and personal skills, such as self-confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, results orientation and communication. Living a real experience -methodology known as learning by doing- is a great incentive in the training of young people, accelerating their learning process by facing real work and competition situations.

  • School of Hotel Management of Alcalá de Henares.
  • María Zayas School of Hotel Management.
  • Simone Ortega School of Hotel Management.
  • Alpajes School of Hotel Management.
  • Hipatia School of Hotel Management.

  • Alberto Domingo, of the Alsea Group.
