Young people of ‘Opportunity to Talent’ continue to explore European opportunities

On 18 April, the group of participants of the ‘Oportunidad al Talento’ programme received the visit of Ana Río Quintana, Communication Officer of the European Commission in Spain, who gave an interesting talk about the European Commission and the European Solidarity Corps. She also talked to the young people about volunteering opportunities, exchanges, study mobilities, internships and job opportunities that are emerging in the European Union.

Afterwards, we shared a more informal and closer space for conversation, where Officer Ana Río was especially interested in the activities of the programme, the skills developed by the participants, aspirations, challenges… and the young people were able to exchange concerns and opinions.

Undoubtedly, a new opportunity for the young people in the programme to get to know the wide range of opportunities that the European Union offers for the development of their personal and educational experiences.

Opportunity to Talent is a socio-educational innovation programme of Fundación Tomillo and AIPC Pandora, aimed at young people with determination in their life project, although with fewer opportunities due to their socio-economic situation. Its main objective is to empower young people in situations of social vulnerability by promoting their integral development as individuals, so that they are able to reach their maximum educational potential and become leaders within their own realities.

The programme has the collaboration of Fundación La Caixa, US Embassy Madrid, Fundación Pelayo, Fundación Juan Entrecanales de Azcárate, Total Energies, Capman Testing Solutions and Impact Hub Madrid.
